Medan - FKM USU: Chair of the Department of Community Medicine, School of Medical Science Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) Prof. Dr. Kamarul Imran Musa gave a general lecture on the topic "Workflow, Tools, and Skills in Statistical Modeling" on Friday (September, 15th 2023) at the FKM USU Auditorium. This general lecture was attended by lecturers, and undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral study program students. Prof. Dr. Kamarul Imran Musa is a Professor in Epidemiology and Statistics with an H-Index of 48. In this lecture, Prof. Kamarul conveyed the workflow, statistical tools, and data analysis skills that researchers and academics must have in the current era. According to him, there are seven important workflows in statistical modeling, starting from collecting data to publishing data modeling on a dashboard that can be accessed by everyone. In the current era, not only structured data, but unstructured data such as video, images, and sound can also be used for statistical modeling, so more sophisticated and effective statistical tools are needed for statistical modeling.
