Medan - FKM USU: Faculty of Public Health Universitas Sumatera Utara conducted an academic visit to Taipei Medical University (TMU) and Tzu Chi University in Hualien from 5 to 7 December 2023. The visit was carried out in connection with faculty of public health Universitas Sumatera Utara collaboration with these two universities in Taiwan. Faculty of Public Health Universitas Sumatera Utara delegation was led by the Dean Prof. Dr. Dra. Ida Yustina, M. Si, who on this occasion also carried out visiting professor activities at Tzu Chi University. During their visit to the TMU College of Nutrition, the team FKM USU was received by the Dean of the College of Nutrition, Prof. Rong-Hong Hsieh, Ph.D, while at the College of Public Health was received by the Deputy Dean Prof. Hsing Jasmine Chao and Prof. Chyi-Huey Bai and the Director of TMU's Health and Equality Research Center, Prof. Hui-Chuan Hsu. Both parties agreed to collaborate on summer course programs, top scientist webinars, student exchanges and other Enhancing Quality Education for International University Recognition (EQUITY) programs. A visit to the Public Health Department of Tzu Chi University in Hualien was received by the Head of International Affairs Elise Anne Devido., Ph. D. and Head of the Tzu Chi University Department of Public Health, Prof. Chia-Feng Yen, and Prof. Li-Ming Yin and Assoc Prof. Chia-Jung Hsieh as Head of Research and Development. After discussing the cooperation between the two parties, Prof. Dr. Dra. Ida Yustina, M.Si gave a lecture on Innovation based on local wisdom, attended by Tzu Chi postgraduate students from various countries.
