Medan - FKM USU: FKM USU celebrated its 30th anniversary on Tuesday (19 December 2023). The event was filled with a series of activities such as a scientific oration delivered by Benyamin Saut Parulian Simanjuntak, S.K.M., M.K.M. (Deputy Director for Social Security Agency on Health (BPJS Kesehatan)) who is an alumni of the FKM USU Undergraduate Study Program; handed over the FKM Award to alumni, namely Alm. Hery Firdaus, S.K.M. whose work was considered to have high dedication in efforts to improve the level of public health; bazaar; creative gymnastics; fashion show; and health checks (The Integrated Non-Communicable Diseases Development Post, eye examination, foot massage, blood donation, and dental examination). The Chancellor of USU Prof. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Sc. in his speech, apart from wishing a Happy Anniversary, he also expressed his appreciation for the significant performance of FKM USU which can be seen from the achievement of accreditation for Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral study programs which in 2023 achieved superior accreditation from LAM-PTKes. This event was also attended by USU Deputy Chancellor 2 Muhammad Arifin Nasution, S.Sos., M.SP., and USU Deputy Chancellor 3 Prof. Dr. Poppy Anjelisa Zaitun Hasibuan, S.Si., M.Sc., Apt. The Dean of FKM USU Prof. Dr. Dra. Ida Yustina M.Si. in her annual report conveyed various achievements of FKM USU in implementing the tridharma in 2023, including winning the 2nd best title at the 2nd Indonesian Public Health Olympiad (IPHO) held by the Association of Public Health Universities (AIPTKMI) on November 8-9 2023 in Jakarta.
